The most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make is taking the leap of faith and quitting my job before my business took off fully. In April I had my first born, but he was born with an epignathus teratoma. It’s a fancy word for a tumor. It was about 3lbs and literally covered his entire face. Long story short, my son was in the NICU for almost 100 days, due to the tumor about 3cm of his jaw has been removed, he had to get a tracheotomy, jaw distractor and gastrostomy. We were denied home healthcare through my insurance and he needs 24/hr care, so I have to be nurse mommy. I can’t work a set schedule and care for him because of the attention he needs right now.
