We had the good fortune of connecting with Evi Greene and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Evi, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Over the years, I have photographed a lot of client’s and while trying to get them to book their sessions, I discovered a lot of people wanted good looking pictures but they also did not always want to pay the fees of hiring a professional photographer every time. So, a while ago, I started thinking of how to bridge the gap and how to create a solution for this need. A need where people can take beautiful pictures everyday without spending so much.
While thinking and brainstorming sometime early this year, I then remembered I had a dream back in 2010. I dreamt of how I wanted my studio to look like and because it’s a very huge project, so I thought to modify it to suit this current need, and that was how I started working on SELFIE 45. As God would have it, there was a very clear pictures of the modified vision, and as soon as I caught it, everything else happened really fast and super smooth. I got a space, signed the lease and began construction immediately. And that was how Selfie 45 Photo Studio came into life in April 2021 and was opened to the public on the 1st of July 2021.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Selfie 45 is Houston’s Selfie Studio or Museum as some people call it, it’s furnished with over 20 creative photo booths/walls in one big space and can be used for professional photo shoots, video productions and events/parties. Guests can either book it for their professional shoots or for a do-it-yourself selfie session where they can either use their phones or cameras to create stunning pictures or videos by themselves.
At Selfie 45, guests can create exciting selfies, social media contents, professional photoshoots, music videos, private fun parties/events, etc, and we are located on Westheimer right at the heart of Houston. We are a family-oriented fun spot and we open every day of the week. Our studio is a gracious, fun environment, with multiple eye-catching and creative sets that are social media, professional photoshoot, video and TV production-friendly.
Giving our clients, so many booths/sets which they can use in creating tons of good-looking photos without them having to break the bank has been one beautiful thing everyone keeps commenting.
