We had the good fortune of connecting with Paty Araujo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paty, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Branding is such a massive key to the success of a business, not just what branding and branding identity represent but also how you represent your company visually whether it is in an image or video. They don’t think the need to invest in a branding session is necessary but it is what will create the most profit in the short-long run.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Branding photographer and the creator behind Paty Araujo Photography, I help curate images that create awareness and add value to brands in a strategic and fun way. I am proud to empower other women-owned businesses and support them not just with images but as a friend and personal cheerleader.
It wasn’t easy to get to where I am today, there was and still is a lot of inward work. I believe that mindset work is the key to successfully accept challenges and failures and convert them into a learning experience or chapter.
There are a lot of lessons I learned along my journey but a few that stick out:
1. Connection- truly create a connection not just with your client but with others in your industry.
2. There is no such thing as competition, you are unique and talented in your own way and when you put it out to the world it creates magic.
3. Rest- listen to your body and mind, when you need rest do it! Be mindful that just taking a nap or sleeping for 8 hrs is not “just’ rest. Rest from your phone, from your TV, just have a moment for yourself.
I would love to inspire someone the way others have inspired me and truly show up to the world with the best version of myself.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would bring her to nature trails, the riverwalk, the Guadalupe River for tubing, the caves, the waterpark for fun adrenaline release, and of course the food attractions like amazing tacos.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The people I encounter at the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey: Stephanie Delgado, Sandy Ruiz were the reason of support and encouragement. Books I read Earth is Hiring, other boss babes entrepreneurs, my energy healer Dre Pontbriand. Everyone has put a little part of themselves into my journey.
