We had the good fortune of connecting with Trenton Kaminski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trenton, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
A roommate was bringing kombucha home, we were drinking $200 of kombucha a month. That led me to see how it was made. Turns out it was quite simple, after some research I gave it a go. It quickly back me more than a hobby taking up a spare bedroom and garage.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Kombucha is a craft and with that being said we do a few thing different than most that sets us apart. First, we use purified rainwater for all our kombucha. This ensures our water is of high quality and chemical free. Secondly we brew in all glass vessels continuously year round. Brewing continuously ensures a quality kombucha full of probiotics. Thirdly our goal is to build an Earthship brewery, earthships are sustainable buildings that collect rainwater, grow food, heat and cool themselves, and generate electricity. Really cool right!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It is a great question, it would all depend on my guest. However I do not think you can go wrong with Brazos Bend State Park, great trails and observatory.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are many books I’ve read, business people I had conversations with, encouragement from family and friends and YouTube videos I’ve watched all dealing with business and kombucha. All this has helped tremendously and should not to be discounted. However without god my business would not be possible. It’s because of his grace, providence, and love that The Kombucha Company is where it is today.
